Custom Shirt Options For Your Youth Group Members

If you and your youth group members attend many social outings that involve meeting members of other groups, wearing clothing that is symbolic of your group is a great way to demonstrate pride and keep track of the children who are in your care. Order custom T-shirts that contain distinct lettering that is printed on a fabric type that is comfortable.

Water-Based Dyes Versus Screen Printing

Water-based dyes penetrate fabric and are embedded in fibers, providing a garment with an original design that will not compromise the texture of a garment. Unlike screen printing, which is applied to the top layer of fabric, water-based dyes actually change the color of a garment without adding an extra layer to the front or the back of a shirt. This type of dying process may be desired if you want to ensure that the printed words or pictures that are added to each shirt will remain visible after many laundering sessions.

If screen printing is chosen instead, the design will be raised slightly, and this will result in a somewhat rough texture in comparison to the garment itself. Screen printing will remain intact with proper washing and drying techniques. With excessive wear and the use of heavy-duty detergents and extended amounts of time in a dryer, screen printing may begin to separate from a shirt or show signs of cracking or peeling.

Check out the pricing for both processes and choose the one that will provide the visual results that you prefer. A soft or a bold design will be indicative of the boldness of the colors that are added to each garment. Choose a symbol or picture that represents the group.

Common Materials Or Trendy Alternatives

Cotton, a poly blend, or a tri-blend can be used to create a batch of custom T-shirts. All of these fabric types are relatively soft and durable, but with a blended fabric type, the softness quality may be somewhat enhanced. The printing quality may differ slightly, depending upon what type of fabric you choose.

If you are environmentally conscious or would like the shirts to naturally possess a wicking characteristic, explore bamboo, hemp, or wood pulp fabrics. These fabrics often possess the same qualities as standard ones, but they are made with all-natural products that may come with their own unique set of benefits that will ensure that the custom shirts are attractive, comfortable, and durable.
